I'm back to weekly New Haven commutes for the time being, but was glad to snap this shot of a chandelier in Vanderbilt Hall at 6am today.

So if "cellar door" is the most beautiful phrase, where does "subway equipment room door" rank?

I really like this one, this ominous, dark, locked gate apparently to all points north of 127th Street.

Day 204: Collateral Damage

Apparently if you poke holes in the McKittrick Hotel, it bleeds a weird black tar. And blue paint.

SNM #7 was weird. The whole weekend has been weird. I guess it was a mistake for me to think it was going to be a fun celebration of being here for a year. It has instead turned out to be the stark reminder that even here, things are rough, transient, often disappointing.

Day 203: Doubtful

Matt makes an expression that sums up my own feelings. The heat has really messed with the photo project since I am hardly out and mobile right now.
